Those promises you made
Long forgotten
Amidst the whispering leaves
Those words you said
Long dicarded...

I was trying to photograph the moon from amidst a small tree somewhere near my building.

The occupant of the house nearby came out and studied me while I did all my tripod and camera adjusting. Finally, he couldn't resist asking, 'What are you photographing?'

The moon, I replied.

Ah, the moon, he repeated and looked up in wonder at the dark sky, as if
he was seeing it for the first time. Isn't it amazing how you see things that others don't and vice versa?

That's an AMAZING picture! And, I also love the haiku. The picture reminds me of the lines form one of my fave Hindi song from Saathiya. :)

thank you :) i wasted several frames to get the moon and this was the only decent one i managed! and it's not really a haiku. just some random lines from the top of my head.

which line does it remind you of?

This was at Bhoomi Jathre. Shot the same scene with both film and digital, both cameras set on automatic settings. The film shot came out ruined.

But that was my first time ever with film.

that's a real nice one.. i have also made attempts with the moon.. but sadly it's over and above buildings by that time and pretty small in size..
But my pics with a nascent moon, just rising, come out nice :)
